The Lucid Lawn is an immersive video installation created as a companion piece for a live music concert in Mangalore. Composed from over two hours of aerial footage, the work unfolds in synchrony with the performance, inviting the audience to lie down, look up, and experience the sensation of flight. Hovering between dream and landscape, the installation transforms the act of viewing into a meditative drift through the skies.
Beyond its immersive experience, The Lucid Lawn quietly draws attention to the rapidly changing coastline of Unchila Beach near Mangalore, where coastal erosion continues to reshape the land. By presenting the shoreline from an aerial perspective, the work encourages viewers to contemplate both the beauty and fragility of the region's disappearing edge.
